GGGS project is promoting innovative approaches to strengthen the organisation of sport in Europe. Good governance in grassroots sport is a prerequisite for organizational legitimacy and ultimately survival.
If grassroots sport, with its most significant financial contributions stemming from individual members and public authorities, does not govern in an appropriate and legitimate way, it will lose not only reputation-wise, but also in terms of its continued support when it comes to membership and public financial support.
The first multi-lateral European Community cooperation experience of ISCA members has often come via ISCA developed and European Commission supported projects. The work programme of ISCA continues to provide common experiences to Europe’s sport for all community and to GGGS project partners.
