Dr. Milan Hosta, 36, is well recognized sport expert in Slovenia, pioneering the new wave of young leaders who have the courage to face the challenges of sustainable development of sport from the socio-ecological perspective.He has proved to be a good manager of new ideas by leading an Asthma and Sport Organization for over a decade now, combining sport and health interests on national level. His knowledge of ethics has been disseminated over Slovenia and internationally through the work within Institute of Fair Play and Tolerance in Sport, which was established on his initiative. He spent 8 years as a professor of philosophy of sport at Faculty of Sport, University of Ljubljana, where he was in charge of international office as well. He has established a large international social network, and has been invited to many international seminars and conferences as an excellent speaker and motivator for social change. He is elected president of expert council of Sports Union of Slovenia.
The advocacy and promotion of Physical Education, Sport and Health enhancing physical activity is where the synergy of his interests flourishes best. With the knowledge of philosophy he has access to ideological concerns, personal, social, and macroeconomic values and hidden agendas behind actions expressing the public policy; with experiences in project management in the field of health and sport he is aware of the importance of inter-departmental communications and cooperation on national and international level; and with the interest in efficient EU policy we strongly believe that his skills and knowledge could be of great support to ISCA EUROPE.
His ideas on ISCA Europe:
- to become a pan-European avant-garde movement in physical activity, festivity and sport for all;
- establish the platform to advocate for the whole picture of physical culture as proposed by H. Eichberg (to complement the achievement oriented competitive sport organized under IOC);
- to analyze, evaluate, report, lobby and advise upon the international and national sport documents, laws and other significant political interventions in physical activity, festivity and sport for all;
- to take care for ethnocentric physical culture, and folks games by providing support to regional bodies, programmes and projects;
- to provide trainings in good governance and democratic policy for sport bodies;
